Brother Lance accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in the 1990s while he was a graduate student at the University of Hawaii. He began attending CBCGB in 2001 and became a member in 2002 after being baptized there. He started serving at the Young Professional Fellowship (YPF) and became the coordinator for the Song of Songs fellowship (formerly the YPF family group) in 2006. Lance joined the literature ministry in 2004 and was the first chief editor for the publication The Pulse. From 2013 to 2016, he served on the deacon board, representing the Social Concerns, Chinese Ministry worship, and Finance committees. He has been active in presiding, pulpit interpretation, adult Sunday School, Missions, and Youth Ministry Transition.
In addition to his full-time job as a credit researcher, Lance is completing his part-time Master of Divinity program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kathy, met at CBCGB and have two wonderful children, Jacob and Brooke.
